Santa Barbara County
Tasting Notes
This vintage is focused and supple in nature and highlights the true uniqueness of the Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard. This single vineyard reserve bottling unveils aromas of cassis, dried herb, cedar, and clove. On the palate, elderberry liqueur is rounded out by barrel aged influences of vanilla and toasty oak. Aged in 100% new French Oak, this full-bodied Cab is a beautiful representation of our commitment to improved farming practices and minimal intervention winemaking.
Vintage Notes
The 2018 growing season started two weeks later than normal due to a cold late winter snap. The summer was mild which allowed the fruit to mature slowly. The fall was marked by two heat waves that accelerated things back to normal timing.
